life is short

hold it dear

this is a real story

my family and I were driving to a wedding out of town

we were on the highway

out of no where a car comes from the median, crossing the high way at 90 degrees

hits nobody

crosses right in front of us

going off the road to the left of us

runs up the hill and begins to do 5 barrel rolls

landing upside down and debri everywhere

I couldnt beleive my eyes

my family in shock, we pull over

My dad calls the police

I am rushing over to the vehicle

the highway aside still in motion

I hear a semis brakes locking up

tread screeching

running against traffic

Im the first one to arrive

someone could’ve died

Im yelling to assure the status

are you okay?

how many people?

one person

he was concious

I jump in the busted window of an upside down car

He is in his seat belt upside down

Bleeding from the arm

Hes stuck in his belt

Not sure what to do

Maybe I lift him up

Blood on my hands

He found the latch to release

A click, he fell down and got out

We got out

Others arrive

Still processing

Rain begins from the sky

How is this guy alive?

A younger man standing up with me

On two feet, I asked if we could pray

An angel was guarding his day

Police arrive

Rain tension increases

Life flashed
