(18) digress : progress
A day of no “progress” on a song has helped me define what I don’t want
Scratching a whole song, bringing it to its bare bones, allows me to see what was necessary
It be like that sometimes
I’m cool with it
You can do all that to only refresh and redesign with a new foundation
allows a better understanding
It doesn’t mean that there was no progress; we were exploring a land that brought no fruit
There are extremes to this lesson
I built this whole building on bad soil
But it enables me to see what is helping versus prohibiting
Some sections I really enjoy, but they don’t align with the whole story
Sonically, this doesn’t complement that
That won’t allow the other section to breathe properly
I couldn’t help back then
nor myself
I can’t even save you now
He can, Christ can
I’m happy for your reflection
